ISTAF Supporter Club

The ISTAF, staged in the Olympic Stadium Berlin, is the world’s oldest athletics meeting and since 1921 one of the most popular major sport events in Germany. With 50.000 visitors on average it also proves to be the world’s most-visited track & field meeting. The constantly improving concept, combining athletic top performances with show elements, is often copied but never achieved. The extraordinary atmosphere in the stadium encourages athlete’s performances and achievements. A total of 16 world records have been set already, the most recent one by hammer thrower Anita Wlodarczyk from Poland.

With the ISTAF INDOOR, a modern version was added 2014 under the roof of the multi-purpose Mercedes-Benz Arena Berlin. At the premiere, 10,847 spectators flocked into the arena to experience athletics at its best. Athletes, media and spectators were visibly impressed by the new form of event presentation.
